Ennio Morricone’s world premiere in Milan

On January 26, during the opening ceremony of the new academic year, the State University of Milan will confer the degree honoris causa to Ennio Morricone.
For this special occasion, Maestro Morricone has written a new piece called: “Varianti per Ballista Antonio Canino♮Bruno“, for two pianos and string orchestra.
During the ceremony, Alessandro Crudele and the Orchestra UniMi will have the privilege to perform the world premiere of this work, together with some of Morricone’s original film music scores in the presence of the composer.
The performance of the “Varianti” will also feature the legendary Piano-Duo Bruno Canino and Antonio Ballista.
