This month, Alessandro Crudele will make his debut in Sweden with the Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra. This ensemble is one of the oldest orchestras in the country, founded in 1912. It is renowned for its distinctive, clear, fluid and expressive sound.

The concert will take place on 24 September at the Helsingborgs Konserthus and will feature Johannes Brahms’s Fourth Symphony, one of Alessandro’s favourite works in his repertoire, which he recently recorded with the Philharmonia Orchestra. Alongside this will be Johan Bridger’s ambitious arrangement of Sergei Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No. 4 for marimba and vibraphone – Bridger, a highly talented Swedish percussionist, will be the evening’s soloist. The concert will open with a fine rarity waiting to be rediscovered: Tableaux Parisiens, I. Vie bruyante dans le lointain by the forgotten Swedish female composer Valborg Aulin.
